JOB OPPORTUNITIES
Flexible start date, MUST be at camp July 6 – August 16th. $900/week, plus room and board.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age, mature, responsible, and able to take initiative and serve as a positive representative for RLUCC. Needs strong leadership skills, organizational skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision. Responsible for promoting the camp and managing electronic communications and social media for the weeks prior to camp and continuing over the summer. Duties include (but are not limited to); managing staff and volunteers, recruiting volunteer cabin leaders and campers, overseeing all camp operations and being aware of and complicit to Manitoba Camping Association’s and the United Church of Canada’s camping guidelines. Must have Intermediate First Aid, CPR-C and AED training.

Flexible start date, MUST be at camp July 6 – August 16th. $800/week, plus room and board.
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age, have camp experience and show leadership in planning daily programs and themes. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to); establishing and maintaining a schedule for a summer camp, leadership of games, crafts, and worship (aligned with the United Church of Canada theology), appropriate for a variety of age groups. Will need Intermediate First Aid, CPR-C and AED training.

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have NLS (National Lifeguard – Pool or Waterfront) certification, Intermediate First Aid, CPR-C and AED training, as well as canoeing experience. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to); the safety and maintenance of beach area and aquatic equipment, lifeguarding, planning and directing waterfront activities, providing emergency response, administering first aid as required (sometimes with limited facilities), ensuring medical emergency help is arranged if necessary, maintaining detailed records of actions taken in relation to the health and first aid of campers, and helping in other camping areas as assigned by the Camp Coordinator & Program Director.

Must be a minimum of 16 years of age and have Bronze Cross, Intermediate First Aid, CPR-C and AED training, as well as canoeing experience. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to); the safety and maintenance of beach area and aquatic equipment, lifeguarding, planning and directing waterfront activities, and helping in other camping areas as assigned by the Camp Coordinator & Program Director.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to); meal preparation for large and small groups, preparing options for a variety of dietary needs, and ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas. Menu planning and grocery ordering will be assisted by the Kitchen Committee. Will need Intermediate First Aid, CPR-C and AED training.

Must be a minimum of 16 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, skills in general maintenance, and the ability to operate small machines. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): ensuring that cabins and facilities, including bathrooms, are clean, safe, and prepared prior to the beginning of each camp, general camp maintenance and cleanliness (such as mowing grass, cutting campfire wood, etc.), and helping in other camping areas as assigned by the Camp Coordinator & Program Director. Will need Intermediate First Aid, CPR-C and AED training.

Cabin Leaders can apply to lead any or all of the following weeks:
July 19 – 24, July 27 – 31, August 3 – 7, August 9-14, 2026
This is a volunteer position. Room and board, as well as a small honorarium are provided.
*There is a mandatory week (3 days) of Leadership Development (LDW) prior to camp – the fee for LDW is $100. This fee is refundable once the individual completes one week as a Cabin Leader.
Leadership Development Week: July 13-15, 2026
Must be 14 – 18 years of age, have a desire and ability to work with children in a camp setting, and experience working with children. Cabin Leaders are seen as role models and a crucial part of our camping program. You will need to be enthusiastic, patient, and flexible! Must be able and willing to assist in all camp activities and attend the Leadership Development Week.
